CityGUIDE MobileAPI
What is it?
CityGUIDE MobileAPI is an extension of the CityGUIDE navigation program that makes it possible to exchange data with the third-party programs on a mobile device.
Where is it used?
CityGUIDE MobileAPI can be used for automatization of a taxi driver workplace, in particular, for data exchange between the CityGUIDE navigation program and third-party applications for communication with the dispatcher service.
Supported platforms
CityGUIDE MobileAPI is currently implemented for Android, since this platform is most widely used while implementing the driver workstations. Please contact us to discuss the implementation for other platforms.
Basic functions
- Activation of CityGUIDE from an external application (activation and minimization)
- Setting the coordinates to be displayed on the map in the CityGUIDE navigation program
- Controlling the scale and the slope of the map
- Setting a destination point from an external program and intermediate points for making a route, as well as the current distance of the route
Basic advantages
- Integration of one of the best navigation systems into solutions for automation of working with the vehicle fleet
- Usage of current traffic data (traffic jams, restrictions) when making the routes
- Usage of statistical data when making a route in the solutions without access to the Internet
- Regular (daily for some regions) issue of revisions (correction of traffic: signs, crossings, etc.)
- The possibility of using maps from various sources (including OSM)
- Regular updating of maps
- Instant calculation of the route based on to the specified criteria
